Regal Review: Pre-Wedding Dinner of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
On April 28th, 2011, the eve of Prince William’s wedding to Catherine Middleton, a pre-wedding dinner was organized at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London. While the bride and groom didn’t attend, members of the British royal family, as well as foreign royal guests, attended the dinner.
The Countess of Wessex wore a red sleeveless Bruce Oldfield gown with Prada platform peep-toes pumps and her Anya Hindmarch silver clutch.
Princess Beatrice wore a one shoulder nude embellished gown with her Jimmy Choo Cosmic nude pumps.
Princess Eugenie wore a bespoke black sleeveless Vivienne Westwood gown with Gina black pumps and a Solange Azagury-Partridge Union Jack ring.
Queen Sofia wore a bespoke Margarita Nuez outfit. The then-Princess Letizia wore a bespoke grey strapless Felipe Varela ball gown.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a red draped gown with a bow from Yves Saint Laurent’s 2001 Couture collection. She also carried a gold clutch that belonged to Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte.
Crown Princess Victoria wore a red Escada gown with her LK Bennett ‘Beverly’ clutch and her Stuart Wetizman satin peep toe pumps.
Crown Princess Marie-Chantal wore a bespoke Louis Vuitton light pink long sleeves gown with a Louis Vuitton tortoise gold clutch.
Princess Tatiana wore a strapless navy gown from Giorgio Armani’s Spring 2011 Couture collection with a Giorgio Armani satin blue and black bow clutch.
Princess Charlene - who was still Charlene Wittstock at the time- wore a bespoke gown by Akris. The gown was made of silk dupioni with laser-cut silk organza applique and was paired with a silk chiffon stole. Charlene paired the gown with an Akris dove grey bag and matching Giorgio Armani sandals.
