Her Royal Highness wore the long-sleeved cotton dress that comes below the knee to a garden party in Trondheim, Norway, on June 23, 2016. Mette-Marit was also wearing a flower crown like other members of the Norwegian Royal Family on the day. The Crown Princess, as she usually does, kept her makeup simple. She also carried a straw clutch by Kotur.

She changed into the outfit after a church service in the town to mark the 25th anniversary of the King and Queen's ascension to the throne. In attendance were the King and Queen, the Crown Prince Family (including Marius Borg Holby - Mette-Marit's son from a previous relationship), and Princess Martha Louise and her three daughters.

The festivities started at 10:00 am with “breakfast with the people” at the Ravnkloa fish market. Mayor of Trondheim Rita Ottervik spoke at the event, which also featured music, children’s art and breakfast delicacies."

"The day came to a close with the garden party at Stiftsgården, which is the Royal Family’s official residence in Trondheim. The 600 guests included President of the Storting Olemic Thommesen, Prime Minister Erna Solberg and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Norway Toril Marie Øie."
