Crown Princess Mette-Marit visits Vietnam

In March 2014, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway traveled to Vietnam for their first official visit to the country.

Heaven found this piece that Mette-Marit wore on their first day. It's a Valentino coat that you can see here. The Crown Princess had previously worn the coat in 2013.

They were welcomed by Vice President Doan when they first arrived in the country at the Presidential Palace. In line with Mette-Marit's love of reading, the couple visited the Temple of Literature while in the Vietnamese capital. It was here that she wore the Valentino coat that Heaven recently discovered.

This visit took place on the 10th anniversary of the tour Crown Prince Haakon's parents, King Harald and Queen Sonja, took to the Asia country in 2004.

Her Royal Highness called the trip, "A journey through Vietnam's history, culture, and impressive economic development."

During the tour, the couple traveled to Hanoi, Ho Chi Min City, and Hue. They attended a business luncheon at the Museum of Vietnamese History on their first day. At the lunch, Mette Marit wore a blue floral dress from By Ti Mo, an Oslo based brand.

Mette-Marit gave a short speech during the lunch. She said "our two countries share a common interest within a wide range of bilateral and global issues. I therefore look forward to seeing our countries develop even closer cooperation in the years to come."

The Norwegian Royal Court said about the luncheon, "There has been significant growth in bilateral trade between Norway and Vietnam in recent years, with potential for further expansion. A business seminar held earlier today focused on hydropower, the maritime industry and the offshore industry, and several other seminars and meetings are scheduled to take place during the visit. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess joined the Vietnamese and Norwegian business delegations at their luncheon."
