Crown Prince Couple of Norway on visit to Russia in 2003

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Prince Mette-Marit of Norway traveled to Russia for a state visit in 2003. Heaven has several finds of Mette-Marit's outfits from this trip over a decade ago.

Upon their arrival, Mette-Marit wore an Andrew Gn coat that you can see in the image above. Andrew Gn confirmed the item in December 2015 to Heaven in an email.

She also wore two different sets of Prada shoes on her visit, which Heaven recently discovered in October 2016.

Lastly, The Crown Princess wore another Andrew Gn creation on the trip - this time a pleated skirt. Heaven also had this confirmed by Andrew in an email.

Their trip lasted from October 27 till November 1, 2003, and they took in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Murmansk. The trip earned some headlines as the Crown Princess was six months pregnant with Princess Ingrid Alexandra at the time.

While in St. Petersburg, Their Royal Highnesses were guests of a performance of the famed ballet, Swan Lake at Mariinsky Theatre. They were also given a tour of the Summer Palace while in the city.

Crown Prince Haakon laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - as has become customary of royal visits to foreign countries. Both the Crown Prince and Princess visited the Ministry of Culture while in Moscow and were given a tour of the Kremlin.

Before leaving Moscow, Their Royal Highnesses went to a Russian-Norwegian upper secondary school to visit with the students who attend the school.

Crown Prince Haakon made a solo visit to the town of Murmansk. While there, he met with the governor, visited the Atomflot facility, and also visited a museum called the Northern Fleet. He was able to enjoy himself and relax for a short time while attending the opera, La Traviata. This was performed by the Norwegian Opera and the Russian Philharmonic. Mette-Marit did not make the trip to Murmansk due to the need to rest during her second trimester.
