Trifari Tanjore Brooch
The design is called Tanjore, the name of a city in S.E. India. The design was approved by Alfred Philippe, the head of design and production for Trifari in the 1940s. The brooch is gold and set with red and blue glass cabochons, green and blue glass stones and small rhinestones. It measures 1.5 inches wide, 3 inches long and .38 of an inch deep including the pin back.
