Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Marie attend Nordic Food Waste Summit 2023
On Wednesday, both Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Marie attended the Nordic Food Waste Summit 2023 in Stockholm.
Princess Marie arrived in Sweden on Tuesday and she posted a photo of herself in front of St Jakobs Kyrka with the following caption: “The fight against food waste has been a matter of my heart for many years, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow opening the Nordic Food Waste Summit here in Stockholm. Food waste is one of the biggest single strains of the climate. But at the same time, it is one of the easiest loads to deal with. So I hope that the summit can inspire our common fight against food waste.”
On Wednesday morning, Princess Marie attended the opening session of the Nordic Food Waste Summit. The Summit aimed to increase cooperation and bring about urgent action to reduce food loss and waste.
In her opening speech, Princess Marie said: “Reducing food waste is also about global equity. When I have traveled to some of the poorer countries in the world, I have seen how one simple meal can mean the difference between life and death. That is something that most of us in the Nordic countries will not be able to understand. But we need to do our uttermost to reduce our impacts on the climate and environment and really value the resources that we have in solidarity with those less fortunate.”
The afternoon session of the Summit featured a panel on Innovations and solutions as well as the high-level panel “Moving forward and taking action” and was attended by Crown Princess Victoria.
On Tuesday, Princess Marie wore a navy coat which seems to be by Tara Jarmon with a turtleneck and her Mauboussin earrings.
For the summit,Princess Marie wore her Maje suit with her Goat Fashion blouse. She paired the outfit with her Zara ankle boots and her Tara Jarmon bag. She also wore her Mauboussin earrings and her Rolex watch.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her By Malina suit with a new By Malina shirt. She paired the outfit with her Ralph Lauren boots and her Little Liffner bag. She also wore her Dulong earrings, her Engelbert necklace, her Epoch watch, and her usual stack of bracelets.
