Crown Princess Mary visits Fiji - Day 2
On Wednesday, Crown Princess Mary spent her second day in Fiji to learn more about the consequences of climate change in the Pacific Ocean region. She first visited the Ministry of Lands & Mineral Resources.
Afterward, she took part in a sailing tour on the traditional vessel “Uto Ni Yalo”.
Crown Princess Mary then met with Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni L. Rabuka.
She also visited the headquarters of the organization “Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation” where she heard more about UNFPA and disability organisations do for vulnerable persons with disabilities.
Crown Princess Mary then took part in a meeting in partnership with BOGA (Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance) during which she made a speech. The meeting focused on the region’s role in connection with BOGA’s vision of a controlled and equitable phase-out of oil and gas production.
Crown Princess Mary concluded her second day in Fiji at the University of South Pacific where she met students to discuss the involvement of young people in the climate agenda.
Crown Princess Mary wore her Stella Jean dress with a repeated Hugo Boss belt and her Gianvito Rossi sandals. She paired the outfit with her Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces, her Dulong ring, bracelets by Ole Lynggaard, Dulong, and Rebekka Notkin, and her Thierry Lasry sunglasses. For the sailing tour, she wore her Chloé ballet flats.
