German State Visit to Sweden - Day 1
Today, the President and the First Lady of Germany started their three-day state visit to Sweden. They were officially welcomed at Arlanda Airport by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.
Afterward, the Presidential couple was then welcomed by King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia at Hovstallet and they traveled together in a horse-drawn procession through Stockholm to the Royal Palace where they attended a welcome ceremony in the Inner Courtyard.
The Presidential couple and the Royal couple were then joined by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Philip, and Princess Sofia inside the Palace.
In the afternoon, King Carl-Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and the Presidential couple visited the German Church in the Old Town and the Riksdag.
Queen Silvia and the First Lady then visited the Children’s Ombudsman and the Children's Home to discuss children’s and young people’s rights.
In the evening, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted a gala dinner for the German President and the First Lady. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, and Prince Carl-Philip were also in attendance.
For the day events, Queen Silvia wore her Georg & Arend black and white outfit with her Marzio shoes and a black clutch. She also wore her Kerstin Carlefalk hat and her Cartier bracelet.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Andiata blazer with an Andiata dress. It has been confirmed that Crown Princess Victoria altered an Andiata top and the matching Andiata skirt to turned them into a dress. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Abro clutch. She also wore earrings and brooch from the vault, her Epoch watch, and her usual stack of bracelets. Her floral headpiece is new.
Princess Sofia wore her LK Bennett ‘Avery’s dress with new Stinaa.J navy suede pumps and her Susan Szatmary black clutch. She also wore a new headband by Alexandré de Paris.
For the gala dinner, Queen Silvia wore her Georg & Arend emerald lace top and evening skirt with the Nine Prong tiara and emerald jewels.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Escada red gown with silver pumps and her gold Anya Hindmarch clutch. She wore the Connaught tiara with ruby jewels and her usual stack of bracelets.
