Swedish Royal Family attends Opening of Parliament
Today, King Carl-Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, and Prince Daniel attended the official opening of the Parliament in Stockholm.
The royal family first attended the traditional church service marking the day at Storkyrkan.
Afterward, they traveled in a horse-drawn procession from the Royal Palace to the Riksdag building to attend the official opening.
During the ceremony, King Carl-Gustaf made a speech in which he said: “Each of us has a responsibility to ensure that every child in our country is given a secure upbringing, good values , and good opportunities for development. Honorable Members. The decisions you make in this House shape our country. In every moment you are involved in creating Sweden's future. I wish you, elected representatives of the people of Sweden, power, courage, and wisdom in your important work.”
Queen Silvia wore a repeated black skirt suit with her Salvatore Ferragamo pumps and vintage Céline clutch. She paired the outfit with her Kerstin Carlefalk hat and her Cartier bracelet.
Crown Princess Victoria wore an old UFO jacket over a black pleated top and a House of Dagmar skirt (with thanks to Elena) with her Gianvito Rossi black pumps and Nancy Gonzalez black clutch. She paired the outfit with a repeated Malinda Damgaard headpiece and her Handsbutiken gloves. She also wore her Epoch watch, her Luc of Sweden necklace, Kreuger ring, as well as her usual stack of silver bracelets including her Kreuger arrow bracelet.
