Swedish Royal Family attends Opening of Parliament
On Tuesday, King Carl-Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Philip, and Princess Sofia attended the official opening of the Parliament in Stockholm.
The Royal Family first attended the traditional church service marking the day at Storkyrkan.
Afterward, they traveled in a horse-drawn procession from the Royal Palace to the Riksdag building to attend the official opening.
During the ceremony, King Carl-Gustaf made a speech in which he said: “I assume that each of you is here for one and the same reason: that you want to contribute to good and secure development for Sweden. In the coming years, you will be faced with many important and difficult decisions. Take on that task – your task – with thought and seriousness. Do your best for Sweden and its citizens! I wish you, elected representatives of the people of Sweden, strength, courage, and wisdom in your important work.”
Queen Silvia wore a black skirt suit with her Céline clutch and her Cartier bracelet.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Milly jacket with a black dress, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Nancy Gonzalez clutch. She paired the outfit with her Malinda Damgaard butterfly hat and her Handsbutiken gloves. She also wore her Kreuger earrings with the matching necklace.
Princess Sofia wore a black Daisy Grace jacket and a black skirt with her Stinaa.J pumps and a repeated clutch. Her headband is by Dolce & Gabbana.
