Crown Princess Mary officially opens Lolland International School
This morning, Crown Princess Mary officially opened the Lolland International School in Maribo.
Lolland International School is Denmark's first international primary school and is primarily aimed at children from international families who are in Denmark to work. The school is free and works on an equal footing with other primary schools in Denmark.
Crown Princess Mary took part in the official ceremony during which she cut the ribbon marking the official opening with several students.
Afterward, Crown Princess Mary toured the school which consists of a central common room and a series of classrooms spread over two floors.
Crown Princess Mary also talked to students and heard more about how the school works. Half the teaching is in English - which is also the daily language in the school - and the other half is in Danish, focusing on Danish culture and social model.
Crown Princess Mary wore her Morten Ussing checkered dress with her Max Mara belt and new Michel Vivien sandals. She paired the outfit with Dulong earrings, Dulong and Orit Elhanati necklaces as well as her Cartier, Dulong, and Rebekka Notkin bracelets.
