Regal Review: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 2017 Germany Visit - Day 3
On 21 July 2017, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent their last day in Germany, in Hamburg this time.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traveled from Berlin to Hamburg by train in the morning.
Their first engagement in Hamburg was a visit to the Maritime Museum to celebrate the joint UK-German year of science. During the visit, the couple was shown a model of Her Majesty's Yacht Britannia, the former royal yacht of the Queen.
Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Elbphilharmonie. There, they joined children in watching a performance by the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. They also met the orchestra on stage and did a walkabout outside.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then visited Airbus’s base in Hamburg. They met German and English apprentices and saw the final assembly line of an A320 aircraft.
After the visit, the couple was joined by Prince George and Princess Charlotte to fly back to London. Before departing, the children got the opportunity to see an EC145 helicopter.
It was then time to depart Hamburg to go back to London where Prince George would celebrate his fourth birthday the next day.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a lavender Emilia Wickstead dress with a red Anya Hindmarch clutch and her Gianvito Rossi pumps. She also wore her amethyst Kiki McDonough earrings.
Prince George wore a Neck and Neck checked shirt with his navy shorts and Vaello belt.
