Day 1 of Haakon & Mette-Marit's Oppland visit
Today, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit started their annual three days visit in a Norwegian county. This year, they are visiting six municipalities in Oppland.
Their first stop today was in Dovre. The visit started at the Viewpoint Snøhetta. They went up to the Viewpoint and along the way, they took part in activities and learned more information about the Viewpoint. The theme of the visit is what 10,000 years of wild capture has meant to settlement and mountain life.
After their visit to the Viewpoint, they drove to the second municipality of the day, Lesja. They were welcomed at the village square. The visit to Lesja aims to highlight the importance of volunteerism in today’s society.
Mette-Marit wore her red Norrona jacket as well as a new Patagonia puff jacket with a printed turtleneck sweater.
