The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Colombia - Day 4
On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their last day in Colombia with the Archewell Foundation.
They first joined Vice President Francia Márquez at the “Afro-Descendant Women and Power: Voice of Equity.” event which spotlighted the achievements and challenges of Afro-Colombian women leaders and entrepreneurs.
The Duchess of Sussex joined the Vice President for the event’s final panel. She said: “I find inspiration in the strong women around me, of course my mother being one of them. So much of how I approach things is less about the fight, and more about how do we show up in a space and wash things over with love and kindness and generosity.”
Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Unidad Recreativa El Vallado in Cali where they spent time with students to discuss mental health and to learn more about the challenges they face and the successes they have achieved through music and dance. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also joined the students’ dance performance.
In the evening, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex concluded their trip at the Petronio Music Festival in Cali. The Festival is the world’s largest tribute to Afro-Colombian heritage. The couple and the Vice President went on stage to officially kick off the festivities.
The Duchess of Sussex first wore a Mango shirt with a Silvia Tcherassi skirt (with thanks to Meghan’s Closet Chronicles). She paired the outfit with her Manolo Blahnik pumps and earrings gifted to her by the Vice-President. She also wore her Cartier and Lorraine Schwartz bracelets.
The Duchess of Sussex then wore an Anine Bing t-shirt (as confirmed by Harper’s Bazaar) with a Juan de Dios skirt and Stuart Weitzman sandals (with thanks to Meghan’s Closet Chronicles). She also wore her Miu Miu sunglasses.
