Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visit California - Day 1
On Monday, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel started a four-day official visit to California to broaden and develop relations with California in innovation, green transition, and emerging technologies with a focus on artificial intelligence.
They spent their first day in San Francisco where they first visited the Marine Mammal Center, which works to protect the oceans through research and education as well as the rehabilitation of animals.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel also hiked on the Rodeo Beach Coastal Trailhead to the Golden Gate Viewpoint.
Afterward, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel met students at The Scandinavian School and Cultural Center.
The school offers Scandinavian language and culture studies and the Crown Princess Couple played games and ate Swedish food with the students.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel concluded their first day in San Francisco with a reception for Swedes living in California.
In her speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “When Prince Daniel and I make official visits abroad, we place particular value on meeting the local Swedish colony. You Swedes abroad are all ambassadors for our country and you are all important pieces of the puzzle in the work to strengthen the ties between countries. It is also my hope that this reception generates dear reunions and that some of you may have the opportunity to make new friendships.”

Crown Princess Victoria first wore a Celine jacket with her Vesna W shirt, her Soft Goat jumper, and beige trousers. She paired the outfit with Axel Arigato sneakers, her Bush Princess bag, and her Bernadotte & Kylberg scarf. For the hike, she wore a Stutterheim raincoat.
In the afternoon, Crown Princess Victoria wore her Vesna W shirt with her MaxJenny! skirt, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Stella McCartney clutch. She paired the outfit with her Edblad earrings and her Engelbert necklace.
In the evening, Crown Princess Victoria wore a Saloni dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Stella McCartney clutch. She also wore her Ebba Brahe earrings, her Engelbert necklace, and her Epoch watch.
