On Tuesday, King Willem-Alexander presented the 2024 Erasmus Prize to Indian writer Amitav Ghosh. Queen Maxima and Princess Beatrix also attended the event.

The Erasmus Prize is awarded annually to a person or institution that has made an important contribution in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and arts within the framework of Europe's cultural traditions

Princess Beatrix wore a printed top with black trousers and her Salvatore Ferragamo pumps.
