The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attend last day of Invictus Games 2023
On Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the last day of the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany. They first presented medals to several athletes in the Invictus Village.
The Duchess of Sussex then visited the Kids’ Arena where she happily took part in Reading Hour.
In the evening, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the closing ceremony of the 2023 Invictus Games. The ceremony included performances by Rita Ora and Sam Ryder.
In his speech, the Duke of Sussex said :"We've all witnessed the true impact sport has had on your recovery. But you will never truly know the impact your actions this week have had on millions of people around the world. You have opened people’s hearts, through your vulnerability, through your resilience and your sheer abilities. You have shown us that joy can emerge from struggle."
