Swedish State Visit to Estonia - Day 1
On Tuesday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia started a three-day State Visit to Estonia.
They were officially welcomed by the President and the First Lady at Freedom Square in Tallinn. They then took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the War of Independence memorial before attending a tree-planting ceremony.
Afterward, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia met with the Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and her husband Arvo Hallik. After a lunch hosted by the Prime Minister, the Royal Couple met with the Speaker of the Parliament.
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia then visited the Nikolai Church museum where they were given a preview of the exhibition Michel Sittow in the North? Altarpieces in Dialogue. They also visited the memorial for the victims of communism where they lit candles for the victims.
In the evening, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a state dinner hosted by the Presidential Couple.
Queen Silvia first wore a repeated outfit with her Cartier bracelet and her Ernst Paltscho brooch.
In the evening, Queen Silvia wore her Camilla Thulin gown with her Cartier bracelet and Crown Princess Margaret’s Ruby Tiara.
