Dutch Royal Couple and Princess Catharina-Amalia visit the Dutch Caribbean Islands - Day 2
On Saturday, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia spent their second day in Bonaire. Governor Edison Rijna first received them at his official residence.
Afterward, they visited the Witte Pan slavery houses to learn more about the history of slavery in Bonaire.
The Royal Couple and the Princess of Orange then attended Nos Zjilea at Cultural Park Mangazina di Rei, which highlighted Bonaire’s cultural and historical heritage.
Then, they had lunch with residents at Arawak to discuss climate change, agricultural development, and poverty alleviation.
In the afternoon, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia watched a windsurfing demonstration in Sorobon Bay.
They also toured the Bay and its mangroves by boat to learn more about this protected coastal area of Bonaire. They talked with junior rangers of the Bonaire National Parks Foundation about nature conservation, coastal protection, and their work.
In the evening, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia attended a cultural event at Taste of Bonaire.
They toured the cultural market and enjoyed the musical performances.
This was their last official event in Bonaire as they will continue their tour in Aruba on Monday.
Queen Maxima first wore her Zimmermann dress with her Gianvio Rossi pumps, Chloé sunglasses, and her Fabienne Delvigne turban. In the afternoon, she also wore her Salvatore Ferragamo loafers.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a Natan dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and a Marina Raphael bag (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima). She paired the outfit with her mother’s Ole Lynggaard earrings, an Hermes bracelet, her Apple Watch, and her Chimi sunglasses. In the afternoon, she wore her Veja sneakers.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore a Zara vest with a white top and white trousers. She paired the outfit with Jimmy Choo wedges and her Sarah’s Bag clutch. She also wore an Aracano necklace.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a Lauren Ralph Lauren dress with a white blazer and her mother’s Sophie Habsburg clutch. She also wore her mother’s Siman Tu earrings, her Marianna Lemos necklace, and her Hermes bracelet. Her wedges are possibly by ASOS.
