Queen Maxima's visit to California and Texas - Day 2
On Wednesday, Queen Maxima spent the second day of her working visit to the US in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. She first visited the University of Berkeley where she marked the 50th anniversary of the university's Dutch education.
Afterward, Queen Maxima made a quick stop at the iconic Golden Gate Bridge before her next event.
She then had a meeting with the Speaker of the US Congress Nancy Pelosi.
In the afternoon, Queen Maxima visited Google where she learned more about Google's climate ambitions and their sustainable solutions that contribute to combating climate change as well as the role of Google in the Netherlands.
Queen Maxima then visited Stanford University where she met students, scientists, and innovators who work and study in Silicon Valley.
She also took part in the 'Holland in the Valley' meeting where she met Dutch people who work for American tech companies or have their own startups.
Queen Maxima wore her Natan dress with Gianvito Rossi pumps and a Sophie Habsburg clutch as well as her Dinh Van bracelet.
