Princess Elisabeth christens RV Belgica research vessel
On Saturday, Princess Elisabeth undertook her first solo engagement as she officially christened the oceanographic research vessel RV Belgica.
The new vessel will allow marine scientists to continue their exploration at sea with state-of-the-art equipment, especially for the analysis of water quality, fish stocks, and marine sediments.
After the ceremony, Princess Elisabeth went on board the vessel to tour the different research rooms and meet the team.
Princess Elisabeth wore a Reiss dress with her Jimmy Choo pumps and a Fabienne Delvigne clutch. She paired the outfit with a Fabienne Delvigne hat and her mother’s Percossi Papi earrings (with thanks to ModeKoninginMathilde).
