Swedish State Visit to Jordan - Day 2
On Wednesday, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia spent their second day in Jordan. The day started with a business forum for King Carl-Gustaf, while Queen Silvia visited the Al Hussein Society which provides rehabilitation and education for people with reduced physical functioning.
Afterward, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited the King Hussein Cancer Center.
In the afternoon, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited As-Salt, an old salt trading town, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021.
The Royal Couple walked through the local market Al-Hammam and visited the historical salt museum Abu Jaber House. They also met with the imam of the city's Grand Mosque and a priest of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
In the evening, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted a reception for Jordanian guests during which Swedish chef Paul Svensson prepared food with a focus on organic and sustainable gastronomy.
Queen Silvia first wore a repeated suit with white shoes, her Lalo clutch, and her Cartier bracelet.
