Belgian State Visit to Lithuania - Day 1
On Monday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde started their three-day visit to Lithuania. The state visit marks the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Royal Couple was seen departing Belgium in the morning.
Upon their arrival in Lithuania, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were officially welcomed by President Gitanas Nausėda and First Lady Diana Nausėdienė.
While King Philippe and President Nausėda held bilateral meetings, Queen Mathilde and the First Lady visited the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History, which will sign a cooperation agreement with Belgium’s Jewish Museum during the state visit.
Afterward, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde went to the Antakalnis Cemetery where they laid a wreath for those killed in the struggle for independence.
In the evening, the President and the First Lady hosted a State Dinner for King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.
For their departure from Belgium, Queen Mathilde wore her Zara coat with Natan pumps.
