The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spend the day in Derry-Londonderry in Northern Ireland
On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in Derry-Londonderry in Northern Ireland where they attended several events.
They first visited Ulster University's Magee Campus where they met students they had first talked to during a Zoom call last February. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also saw a specially designed simulated ambulance built on campus to train the very first year group on the brand new BSc Hons Paramedic Science program in Northern Ireland.
The couple then met the first cohort of medical students accepted into the university’s new School of Medicine.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then visited the Student Union to take part in a “Culture Shock” event where they learned more about student life, sampled some Northern Irish food and drinks, and learned some local expressions. They also watched performances by students.
They also visited the campus’ petting zoo. Catherine carried a duckling and a spider while William carried a snake.
Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went to the City of Derry Rugby Football Club to meet coaches and volunteers from the ‘Sport Uniting Communities’ initiative which promotes peace and reconciliation.
The couple also played some rugby and football to conclude their visit.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a new Emilia Wickstead pantsuit (with thanks to Anna) with her Emmy London pumps and Jaeger clutch. She also wore her Liv Thurlwell earrings and Amaia face mask.
The Duchess of Cambridge then changed into a new Lululemon jacket (with thanks to @emgcollins) with repeated black trousers, New Balance sneakers, and her Liv Thurlwell earrings.
