Today, Queen Maxima visited two organizations in Amsterdam and Amersfoort.

She first attended an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Kwadraat Foundation at Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Since 1971, the Kwadraat Foundation aims to stimulate the economic independence of artists by providing interest-free loans of up to €8,000 to visual artists, designers, and photographers.

During her visit, Queen Maxima met with young artists to discuss the business side of the art practice, as well as the fundraising and financing of art projects.

Afterward, Queen Maxima visited MIND at Maris College Kijkduin in Amersfoort. MIND aims to support understanding and good care in the case of psychological problems, especially the inclusion of experts in education to help young people and their mental health.

Queen Maxima met with staff and volunteers to talk about ​​the various projects in The Hague and the Groningen region that promote the mental health of young people. She also attended a lesson of the MIND Young Academy which organizes classes for secondary school students where an expert teaches the students to share experiences and talk to each other about mental health.

Queen Maxima also met with students to talk about the negative consequences stress, pressure, bullying, and social media can have on young people in the classroom.

Queen Maxima wore a repeated Claes Iversen outfit with her Gianvito Rossi red pumps, a matching clutch, and a red Fabienne Delvigne turban hat.
