Queen Maxima visits UMC Hospital in Utrecht

Today, Queen Maxima visited the UMC Hospital in Utrecht to discuss catch-up care, that is treatments that were postponed to prioritize admissions of patients with COVID-19.

Queen Maxima first attended several meetings to learn more about the national situation and the Appropriate Rehabilitation Care framework with the board of directors, staff, and health insurers.

Queen Maxima then attended a live video conversation between a pulmonologist and their patient. This future-oriented care is an acceleration of the digital transition that has started at UMC Utrecht.

She also visited the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department to meet a patient who had their surgery postponed during the pandemic and how they look back on that time now that they were able to have the surgery.

Queen Maxima wore her Natan white blouse with her Natan knotted skirt. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi suede pumps and a new bag by Rough Studios.
