Queen Letizia delivers Gran Angular and El Barco de Vapor Awards for Children Literature

Tonight, Queen Letizia delivered the Gran Angular Award and El Barco de Vapor Award for Children Literature in Madrid. This year’s winners are respectively “El cofre de Nadie” by Chiki Fabregat and “Un bosque en el aire” by Beatriz Osés.

In her speech, Queen Letizia said that the two winners were authors of “two stories with nothing in common, in appearance, but with great harmony in their values: diversity, the search for identity, the certainty that we live in community and the importance of affection, oral tradition, the non-negotiable need to value and take care of natural environments and the debt of respect and affection that we have with our elders.”

Queen Letizia wore her Sandro green scarf-print dress with her Manolo Blahnik black pumps and Nina Ricci black snakeskin-embossed bag. She also wore her gold bamboo earrings and gold Karen Hallam ring.
