Crown Princess Mary attends launch of the annual State of World Population report
Today, Crown Princess Mary attended the launch of the annual State of World Population report 2021 as Patron of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The event took place at Gerlev Sports Academy in Slagelse.
The State of World Population report describes, among other things, developments and trends in the world population. This year's report focuses on the theme "My Body is My Own", including the right to decide over one's own body.
In her speech, Crown Princess Mary said: “So equality has come a long way. But over 100 years after women's suffrage, we're still talking about #metoo and that women should be able to walk the streets safely, but also about equal pay and the lack of women in leadership positions. Norms do not change from one day to the next. But with increased awareness and increased knowledge, one lays the foundation stones for change.”
Crown Princess Mary wore a new Alexander McQueen blazer with matching trousers and Gianvito Rossi grey suede pumps. She also wore her Bottega Veneta black tote bag and her Gucci glasses. She wore her usual Cartier and Dulong bracelets as well as a new Dulong anklet.
