Queen Letizia attends the proclamation of the 2021 Princess of Girona Foundation Prize for Arts and Letters

Today, Queen Letizia attended the event announcing the winner of the 2021 Princess of Girona Foundation Prize for Arts and Letters at Zarzuela Palace. This year’s winner is María Sánchez Rodríguez, for her work as a poet, writer, and activist in defense of rural culture.

During the virtual event, Queen Letizia spoke to Hugo Fontela, Elena Medel, Solea Morente, and Rafael R. Villabolos who are all previous winners of the prize. They told Queen Letizia about the impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on their field of work.

Queen Letizia wore her Hugo Boss pink pantsuit with a black top. She paired the outfit with her Manolo Blahnik black pumps and her Karen Hallam gold ring.
