In her speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “The world is so big - and at the same time so wonderfully small. Everything is connected in a complex and delicate interplay. If we only look at an individual part, we lose the whole. In the same way, Antarctica is not only a fascinating world in itself, this last explored continent with its unique flora and fauna. It is also a key to understanding the rest of our planet.”

Crown Princess Victoria wore her Stella McCartney ‘Arlo’ shirt.
