Queen Letizia also made a speech in which she said: “ This afternoon you are going to hear this figure many times: 3.5 billion people do not have access to the internet for different reasons: because they do not have adequate devices, because it is an expensive service that they cannot afford, because there is no connectivity or because they have not developed the skills. and adequate digital skills. And all of this translates into more vulnerability, greater inequality, more exclusion, less development, and less progress.”
To conclude the event, Queen Letizia held a meeting with the BBVA Microfinance Foundation's board of trustees and the attendees.
Queen Letizia wore a new dress by Michonet (with thanks to Nuria) with fuchsia Carolina Herrera accessories and an old purple croc belt. She also wore her Bimba y Lola earrings and her Karen Hallam ring.
