Oct 28 Norwegian Royal Family hosts gala dinner for members of Parliament

Tonight, King Harald hosted the traditional gala dinner for members of the Parliament with Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, and Princess Astrid in attendance.

In his speech, King Harald said: “We were put to a serious test - as a nation and as individuals. We will take the lessons into our new everyday lives. One of the most important experiences we have had is how important trust is. The fact that we trust our politicians, authorities, and the health service to such an extent has probably had an impact on the outcome of the pandemic. This is not something we can take for granted. We all have a responsibility to maintain and strengthen the faith of our elected representatives and leaders. Trust is our largest gold reserve.”

Queen Sonja wore a light blue gown with Queen Josefina’s Diamond Tiara. Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore her Emilio Pucci white gown with a white clutch, nude pumps, and the Amethyst Tiara.
