Regal Review: Queen Margrethe's 75th Birthday Celebrations - Birthday Dinner
On the evening of 16 April 2015, Queen Margrethe hosted a second gala dinner at Fredensborg Castle to celebrate her 75th birthday! This gala dinner was more low-key than the one she hosted the day before and since most of the royal guests were staying at Fredensborg Castle, photos were limited.
Queen Margrethe wore a blue Birgitte Thaulow gown with turquoise and gold jewels.
Crown Princess Mary wore a silver embellished gown by Temperley London with her silver J.Furmani clutch and the same grey Gianvito Rossi pumps she wore earlier in the day.
Princess Marie wore an embellished Rikke Gudnitz gown with her Jimmy Choo sandals and Jimmy Choo clutch. She wore UFO earrings and ring she debuted at Princess Madeleine’s wedding and her Christine Hvelplund bracelet.
Princess Benedikte wore a short sleeved pink embellished gown with silver details with matching pink pumps and pearl jewels.
Queen Silvia wore a stunning brocade pink floral long sleeve gown with pearl jewels.
Crown Princess Victoria wore a silver gown by Elie Saab. She borrowed the dress from Princess Madeleine who wore it for her pre-wedding dinner. Victoria paired the gown with her YSL platform sandals.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit debuted a white floral printed Giambattista Valli gown that she would repeat 2 months later for Prince Carl-Philip and Princess Sofia’s pre-wedding dinner.
