UPDATED: Crown Princess Mary attends WHO Regional Committee For Europe
This morning, Crown Princess Mary attended the 69th session of the WHO Regional Committee For Europe as Patron. Mary is Patron of WHO/Europe since 2005 and has attended WHO Regional Committee For Europe nine times.
This year’s meeting takes place from 16-19 September and focuses on reviewing the progress and lessons learned from the Health 2020 policy framework, discussions on advancing health equity, improving health literacy and using organizational and technological innovation to strengthen primary health care. The Committee also elected the new WHO Regional Director for Europe during the session.
During the event, Mary made the opening speech. She said: “Impressive progress has been made in health and well-being across the Region... and Health 2020 has proven to be a powerful tool to build a political consensus and drive inter-sectoral action for health."
In the evening, Mary attended a reception given in connection with the Regional Committee.
For the committee event, Mary wore her Ole Yde Jana jacket with a red dress she first wore in 2017. She also wore her Gianvito Ross python pumps and Prada bag. For the jewels, she chose her Dulong and Cartier bracelets and her Sophie Bille Brahe earrings.
For the reception, Mary wore her Heartmade ‘Harin ‘ dress with an old ufo clutch and new orange Prada patent leather pumps.
