Princess Mabel at the aftershow party of the 24th Opera Gala

Princess Mabel van Oranje, the widow of the Netherlands' Prince Friso (younger brother to King Willem-Alexander), attended the aftershow party of the 24th Opera Gala in Berlin, Germany, on November 4, 2017. The gala was in benefit to Deutsche Aids-Stiftung (German AIDs Foundation) at Deutsche Oper Berlin.

For the event, Princess Mabel wore a floor-length Needle and Thread gown. It is described on Net-A-Porter as a "petal embellished tulle gown". It is now sold out on the website.

Princess Mabel was seen posing for photographs alongside Carola Ferstl and BILD chief Julian Reichelt. She was also seen taking a selfie with Carola and even appeared on stage during the event.

Last year, the German AIDs Foundation described the opera saying, "Now one of the most important charity events in the federal capital, it has become an indispensable part of Berlin's cultural life both artistically and socially. Together with the choir and orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, top-class interpreters - artists of international significance as well as young talents of tomorrow - will offer versatile and moving insights into the world of opera. This promises pure enjoyment of the opera, splendid socializing - and the certainty of serving one thing that still concerns us all."

The Orchestra of German Opera Berlin performed as well as the Chorus of the German Opera Berlin.

Tickets sold at the minimum of €260 and the maximum of €650.
