While Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan were in the capital of the United States, Washington D.C. in February 2017, their older daughter, Princess Iman surprised them. She is currently studying at Georgetown University in D.C. The reason for the surprise was that it was King Abdullah's 55th birthday, and she obviously wanted to spend some time with her father on his birthday. 

For the surprise visit, Iman wore a light pink sweater by Stella McCartney and an Army Yves Salomon coat with fur lining. 

Not much is known about her day with her parents and how long she was with them. The Royal Hashemite Court did share an image of Iman and Abdullah during the day at what looked to be during lunch at an unnamed location.

Queen Rania also posted an image to her Instagram of Iman with her and Abdullah on the streets of D.C. 

The King and Queen were on a working visit to the United States where they met with President Trump at the White House and King Abdullah met with members of Congress and other administrative officials. Rania also visited a local school with First Lady Melania Trump. The King and Queen met with the House Foreign Affairs Committee together.
