King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attend 250 years of Jewish life in Sweden cultural event
On Monday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended the 250 years of Jewish life in Sweden cultural event at Stockholm's Great Synagogue. In 1775, King Gustav III granted the Jewish seal engraver Aaron Isaac permission to settle in Sweden without converting to Christianity. Aaron Isaac was then able to found a Jewish congregation in Stockholm.
Queen Silvia wore a tweed jacket with a white blouse, black trousers, her Rieker trainers, and her Chanel bag. She also wore her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
